Level 5 Diploma in Information Technology is an Ofqual-regulated qualification at RQF Level 5, academically equivalent to Foundation Degrees, Higher National Diplomas (HND), and the second year of a UK Bachelor's degree. The programme consists of six mandatory units, totaling 120 credits, and requires 1200 hours of Total Qualification Time (TQT) and 480 Guided Learning Hours (GLH). Flexible delivery options include face-to-face, part-time, and distance learning.

Entry Requirements
  • Relevant NQF/QCF/RQF Level 4 Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age: 18 years at the start of the course.
  • Non-native English speakers must provide evidence of English language competency (IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2, or PTE Academic 51).
Assessment and Verification

This qualification involves internal assessment by the center and external verification. It is criterion-referenced, relying on achieving specified learning outcomes. Learners must provide evidence for a 'pass,' meeting assessment criteria, with the Assessor making the judgment. An audit trail demonstrating how the overall achievement judgment was reached is required from the Assessor.

The Level 5 Diploma in Information Technology is designed for career progression and professional recognition. Upon successful completion, learners can pursue various academic progressions, including Level 6 Diploma in Information Technology.
